Nestled in the Green Mountains of Fayston, Vermont, Mad River Glen stands as a testament to traditional New England skiing. Established in 1948 by Roland Palmedo, the resort is renowned for its commitment to preserving the natural landscape and offering an authentic skiing experience.

With a vertical drop of 2,037 feet and a summit elevation of 3,637 feet, Mad River Glen boasts 60 trails across 115 acres, complemented by 800 acres of tree skiing access. The resort operates five lifts, including the iconic Single Chair—the only one of its kind in the lower 48 states.

Mad River Glen is also unique for its cooperative ownership model. Founded in 1995, the Mad River Glen Cooperative allows skiers to purchase shares and have a say in the resort's operations, fostering a strong sense of community among its members.
